The Toxicology Education Foundation is pleased to be partnering with MotherToBaby/California to expand access to information about medications and other exposures during pregnancy and while breastfeeding.  MotherToBaby (https://mothertobaby.org/) is a service of the non-profit Organization of Teratology Information Specialists (OTIS) dedicated to providing evidence-based information to mothers, health care professionals, and the general public.  OTIS experts create well-referenced Fact Sheets offered in English and Spanish that focus on frequently asked questions about a great variety of subjects related to pregnancy and breastfeeding.  Select examples include use of acetaminophen (Paracetamol or Tylenol), herbal productsE-cigarettes (Vaping),  marijuana, and exposures to mold, pesticides, influenza (seasonal flu), and the influenza vaccine (flu shot).  There is also information on maternal conditions such as the effects of stress on pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding.  TEF will be highlighting some of these topics over the coming year.   Meanwhile, see other examples for yourself in the searchable MotherToBaby Fact Sheets.
